We design three language and culture courses: Spanish, English and Dutch

Saber Courses

Individuals

Saber individuals are group language and culture courses designed for anybody who wants to learn or improve a new language.

Business

Saber business are group or private language and culture courses designed for professionals and companies.

Language Levels

We design our courses in six levels from A1, absolutely beginners, to C2, proficiency level according to the CEFR, The Common European Framework Reference. The CEFR is used throughout the world to describe foreign language proficiency.

Every level has a number of lecture hours to be completed before passing to the next level course. Courses with fixed number of lecture hours are only for group courses.

A1 Breakthrough

A1 Breakthrough

You will be able to:

  • Understand familiar words and everyday expressions and very basic texts.
  • Introduce yourself and others and ask and answer questions about personal details.
  • Talk about very familiar topics eg. yourself, your job, your company, your likings and interests.
  • Interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is willing to help.
  • Write and understand short texts such as forms, lists and postcards, emails, messages

A2 WAYSTAGE

In this level you are able to:

  • Understand sentences and basic information relevant to personal needs and family activities.
  • Communicate about simple, routine tasks requiring a direct exchange of information on familiar or daily matters. .
  • Describe in simple language your background, immediate environment, interests or activities.
  • Use some simple structures accurately, but continues to systematically exhibit basic errors, e.g., verb tenses, use of prepositions, articles.

B1 THRESHOLD

In this level you are able to:

  • Understand the main points of a standard text in which familiar matters regularly encountered in work, leisure, etc. are being described.
  • Deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
  • Write simple understandable text on topics, which are familiar or of personal interest.
  • Describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
  • Describe experiences or events and can briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
  • Uses reasonably accurate structures and patterns within routine or predictable situations.

B2 VANTAGE

In this level you are able to:

  • Understand specialized articles outside your field, provided you can use a dictionary to confirm terminology.
  • Read many kinds of texts quite easily at different speeds and in different ways
  • Talk about a wide range of topics,
  • Understand articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems in which the writers adopt particular stances or viewpoints.

C1 PROFICIENCY

In this level you are able to:

  • Understand specialized articles outside your field, provided you can use a dictionary to confirm terminology.
  • Read many kinds of texts quite easily at different speeds and in different ways
  • Talk about a wide range of topics,
  • Understand articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems in which the writers adopt particular stances or viewpoints.
